Iljo Keisse seemed to be an indefatigable helper in the Etixx-Quick Step team. His teammates appreciated him for all his efforts, while the Ghent rider's diligence and commitment were also applauded by the public at large. Ilyjo Keisse was voted best helper by readers of Het Laatste Nieuws in the Crystal Drop of Sweat poll, meaning he won the trophy for the third time in a row. Jens Keukeleire finished in second place three times. Iljo Keisse was not only a loyal helper. His finest road victory until then was achieved on 31 May 2015, when he triumphed in the last stage of the Giro d'Italia in Milan. However, the name of Iljo Keisse would continue to echo across the cycling track again and again. He won a string of medals, including four gold medals at the European Championships. By the time of his third Crystal Drop of Sweat he had added 25 six-day races to his belt.
